Perform Without Fail What You Resolve

We were on a long walk in the park in late march
when the lake started to break parts of ice into wise men chanting
"Don't lie honey, we all hide something.
It's usually the dreams we're bent on crushing"
Like moments of despair conquered by virtue
they were only words engineered to hurt you
and this fallen man is like a fallen wallet
picked apart like you pick the pocket
